Warranty and Returns
All products bought from Open Media Centre come with 12 months warranty from the date of purchase unless something different is stated on the product.
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Please choose the goods you buy carefully as refunds or exchanges are not normally provided where you have simply changed your mind or made a wrong selection. Please research about the goods you wish to purchase and double check the item before adding items to the shopping cart as well as confirming the order at the checkout.
Your order only becomes an order once you have paid for it. If you don'tpay for your order within one hour it will be cancelled.
You can cancel orders that have been paid but have not been shipped yet, however a restocking fee of $10 will be charged.
If you purchased goods that are under warranty and have been defectively manufactured, we will replace them providing we still have the same goods in stock, otherwise, we can offer you a refund or ask you if you would accept a similar product in return.
If you believe your goods are faulty, please test them thoroughly before returning them to us.
Placing a Warranty Claim
To place a warranty claim contact us by email with the following information:
- Invoice number and date of purchase
- Name and phone number
- Name of the good
- Detailed description of the issue
If you don't have an Invoice or something that proves that you purchased the item from Open Media Centre your warranty may be declined.
You have to pay a inspection fee of $20, before we can process your warranty claim. This $20 payment will be refunded in full if the product has been determined to be faulty and we will cover the return postage fee.
Once payment is received we will come back you with a claim number and the address where to post the item(s). You have to pay for this post.
Please ensure the item is secured and well packed.
The warranty will be void if any physical damaged or misuse is found.
Open Media Centre is not responsible for any data loss from goods. Please backup your data prior to returning the goods. Also ensure any sensitive information is removed. We cannot and won't do any data recovery.
Open Media Centre will not be held responsibility for any damages caused during transit.
These steps do not imply you will instantly qualify for a replacement, refund or exchange. Each returned good will need to be inspected and checked by qualified technicians, which may require the item to be sent to our supplier or to the manufacturer.
